HIKING TO THE LONGYEARBYEN VIEWPOINT
Walk to the nearest viewpoint up the mountainside on Sverdruphamaren. From an altitude of 400m above sea level there is a panoramic view of Longyearbyen, Adventdallen and part of Isfjord. Light trekking shoes are required.

HIKING TO SVERDRUPHAMAREN OR PLATABERGET
Explore the close surroundings of Longyearbyen. We will go up to the viewpoint at Sverdruphamaren, from which you can see the valley and the fjord from a bird's eye view. Then we continue along the Platåberget plateau or go down to the Longyearelva river.
