Hotel Barentsburg offers 46 rooms, including 5 suites and 41 twin or double rooms, accommodating a total of 92 guests with double occupancy or 46 guests with single occupancy.

Each standard room features an indoor space area of 23.9 m2, including a 3.3 m2 bathroom.

The hotel also provides dry rooms on each floor for snowmobile equipment in winter and water equipment in summer.

Additionally, half of the rooms offer a sea view of Grønfjord in the Greenland Sea.

On the first floor, guests can find a reception desk, bar, restaurant, sauna, and conference room for up to twenty people which doubles as a video game room!

The hotel area ensures a stable Wi-Fi connection.

The distance from Longyearbyen to Barentsburg is approximately 60-100 km, depending on the route, and there are no roads connecting the two settlements.


In winter, Barentsburg is accessible by snowmobiles from mid-February to early May. Choose one of our tours to explore the Arctic landscapes and experience the unique culture of Barentsburg:

The navigation season runs from mid-June until mid-October, with boats departing regularly from Longyearbyen.

Restaurant Rijpsburg and Icebreaker Bar Krasin

Renovated in 2020, the Rijpsburg restaurant offers a diverse menu while the Icebreaker Bar Krasin, inspired by historic icebreakers Krasin and Lenin, serves a wide range of beverages including the locally renowned Barentsburg vodka and beer from the local brewery.


The skilled bartender also crafts a variety of cocktails to delight guests.
